Day 5 we hiked 11.2 miles
from Cataract Valley to Granite Creek.
Hiking out of Cataract Valley, we crossed another suspension bridge early in the morning.
I'm not sure I would have crossed this bridge if I had seen this load bearing mechanism.
Moraine Park offered more great views.
We lunched at Mystic Lake. The ranger cabin offered an archive of notices to hikers and campers.
We hiked out through the moraine of the Winthrop Glacier, viewing impacts of debris flows, and enjoying more river crossings. Claire does work here with her students. It was gorgeous.

had an amazing kitchen and dinner nook.
