Wonderland Trail Day 3

On the third day, we hiked 14.5 miles from Klapatche Park to S. Mowich.

Or,  “hiked for 8 miles and waded for 6.”

We passed a bear track on our way out of Klapatche Park.

We began the day in the mist. We hiked through wet berry bushes much of the day.

The mist turned to rain. The rain turned to a deluge.

We navigated the Mowich River crossing, which was partially washed out.

We arrived soaked to S. Mowich camp and spent the night listening to the rain and the river.
